Space Roleplay in FFXIV
I love space things and shows and I love FFXIV - why not put the two together?
This is something I have been thinking about for a while. "I" as in so far this is one person but hoping to find a few other's interested. Also I just made this page (5 march 2024) so you will be getting in on the ground floor if you are interested!
I am just going to put down a few ideas. Feel free to expand on any or add some new ones!
Last Dregs
So there already is a space bar in ffxiv - the last dregs in Ultima Thule! This would be a perfect RP place for types from all over to come together.
The only drawback is that many will not have unlocked Ultima Thule, let alone the last dregs.
A different space bar
I'm thinking of things like Quark's on STDS9, or ten forward from the enterprise, or the cantina from Star Wars. We could use someone's house and decorate it, or just use something like the Coffer & Coffin in Central Thanalan
What kind of RP?
So I like to do slice-of-life RP - that is everyday people set in the world. I was thinking my character could be a scavenger ship crew member, a traveling prospector, someone has an idea for someone who fishes all over the galaxy.
That being said, I'm not opposed to being a space wizard, timelord or what have you and have epic space battles. One thing I enjoy is doing FATEs in character, pretend you are defending the Ea, or so.
We could make a whole story arc, like "Deep Space 13" or so. May just rename our FC that, hmm.
